KeymasterAlien Invasion Strategy
Recently someone asked me about my AIS or “Alien Invasion Strategy”. I must admit, I was baffled. I was unprepared. I had no plan, no back up, nothing… Suddenly, I felt naked.
So I started to think to get prepared, but against what? Immediately I need to make some assumptions. Would a visiting extraterrestrial life form be intelligent? Will those alien invaders come in peace or would they declare war and scavenge the Earth of its natural wealth?
So if an extraterrestrial life form is not intelligent, I guess they would not be able to design something advanced like a high tech spaceship to conquer the universe. On the other hand, if those aliens are intelligent, why would they visit a place like Earth? Humans are aggressive, never looking for peace, rip all of the natural supplies of the world for their own benefit and have no moral objections of sentencing endangered species into oblivion. If a visiting alien did his homework and spied the Earth for some time before visiting, it would know he cannot come in peace and would not bother to explore Earth.
Maybe they are just interested into human research, and just want to know more about humans. In that case they have to abduct humans for alien science experiments, including physical tests, intellectual tests and morphology tests. I would not like to participate in these experiments, nor would I like to be stored on formaldehyde. Or they come for scavenging purposes, and use the human race as cheap laborers and slaves, which is even worse. ET’s are not all like the fluffy creature from the TV-show A.L.F.
I need to be prepared. We need to be prepared on an alien attack, because it will be an attack if they pass by.
For safety one needs shelter, fresh water, food, medical supplies, heating/cooling systems, energy supply systems, a variety of chemicals and industrial amounts of duct tape.
To tackle the first problem, you should find a safe shelter. I would suggest going for an underground bunker, preferably not a hand dug foxhole but an underground fortress. I would suggest at a minimal volume of 5m³ per person. For storage you will need additional space, you should store water and canned food. You can rely on filtered groundwater when possible to save space. Make sure to include an inlet and outlet air filter. I would suggest place your bunker in a forest environment. No one will know the location and you have coverage from above if a space ships passes by looking to beam up innocent and cheap workers.
You should also store a variety of chemical, you never now to which one those alien bastards are allergic, not all of them will be allergic to water. Do remember, duct tape always comes in handy!
A second advantage is that, when there is no alien invasion, you can use your shelter for storage purposes, for example you can use this as a highly defendable wine cellar.
If your option would be a bunker in a forest; I guess your survival strategy is like mine: not being noticed and possibly well thought guerilla attacks. But if you want to blur out, you need to know how an alien visualize things, will it have eyeballs like us using the visible light spectrum photons to get caught on a retina and send over a nerve system to get a picture in its brain, or will it use the infra-red spectrum? Maybe the extraterrestrial will have a highly advanced sensatory system based upon odors or some kind of build in sonar. We can only speculate. Therefor I’ve developed a multiple stage strategy to counter the visibility of your person by aliens.
If the invading extra-terrestrials share their visualization strategy with ours, the darkness of the night will become our friend. At this point, we can fall back on normal military camouflage techniques. So this is a known area. However, the hypothetical possibility exists that the invading aliens have developed a different way to see objects. Since we cannot be sure that extra-terrestrial creatures are evolved on a planet with is influence by visual light, this is more likely. Subsequently, other camouflage techniques must be developed. I’ll explain this with an example: if the invading force possesses the possibility thermal imaging through slight differences in heat, the so called infra-red spectrum, darkness is not our ally anymore. It will become our second biggest enemy. At this point the heat camouflage technology should be implemented. Hereby I can announce you my idea, my preparation, my life saver: Bubble Wrap Survival Clothing. The best way to keep the body heat from escaping, and thus become heat camouflaged, is thermal insulation. The thermal conductivity of air is 0,024 W/m.K , to go below this you would need for example krypton gas (0,0088 W/m.K) – this means that 0,024 kcal will escape every hour over 1 meter this material per °C (/K) difference. Air trapped in small plastic compartments is thus an ideal product for our purpose. It is compact, cheap, easy to handle, easy to find and above all you can repair your complete wardrobe with duct tape. I tell you, to save yourself; Bubble Wrap Survival Clothing (BWSC) is the solution.
I tell you Bubble Wrap Survival Clothing, who can live without? Oh, a second benefit is that, when you take a fall, you are protected against wounds and broken bones.
I wonder, what is your “Alien Invasion Strategy”?
